Terms of Service

The rules of the Settle* platform.

1. The Guarantee

Settle* acts as a guarantor, not an insurer. You (the Tenant) remain liable for all rent payments. If Settle* pays your landlord due to your default, you are legally obligated to repay Settle* in full, including any associated administrative or legal fees.

2. Fees

The 5% platform fee is non-refundable and charged monthly in addition to your rent. This fee covers our underwriting, guarantee services, and credit-building reporting features.

3. Lease Relationship

Settle* is not your landlord. Your lease is a binding contract between you and the property owner. Settle* provides a guarantee to the landlord on your behalf but does not manage the property or handle maintenance requests.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of Settle*, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete financial information.
  • Pay your rent and Settle* fees on time.
  • Notify Settle* immediately if you anticipate any difficulty in making a payment.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the Settle* platform if you violate these terms or fail to meet your financial obligations. Termination of Settle* services does not release you from your obligations under your lease agreement.
