Settle RAD Reporting

Your history didn't start at the border.

Rent is the biggest cheque you write every month, and in Canada it counts for nothing by default. We verify it and report it to Equifax, so your reliability shows up where lenders actually look.

The gap

Good income. Invisible file.

Lenders can't see savings or a steady job, only what the bureau holds. RAD fills that file with the payments you're already making.

Without RAD reportingInvisible

Traditional lenders see a blank file, whatever your income.

With RAD reportingVerified

A thick file built from verified rent and income stability.

How it works

Verified rent. Reported monthly.

Bank-grade verification

We connect securely to your accounts to verify income and rent. No paperwork, no landlord sign-off.

Direct bureau reporting

Verified history is transmitted to Equifax Canada to build the depth of file lenders require.

The invisible made visible

Your off-book rent becomes a verified asset the Canadian credit system finally recognizes.

What this opens up

Three doors that finally open.

A newcomer activating a new phone plan at her kitchen table in a Toronto condo, with the CN Tower in the distance.

The essentials

Phone plans and utilities without a deposit.

Your payment history becomes your recommendation letter, so you skip the $500 newcomer deposits.

A young couple receiving keys to their first car outside a townhouse in a Canadian suburb.

Fair financing

A reliable car at a rate that isn't a penalty.

A thin file shouldn't dictate your interest rate. Qualify for prime auto rates and better insurance premiums.

A young family on the porch of their first home in Toronto, holding a single house key.

Homeownership

The 12 to 24 months a mortgage underwriter needs.

We turn your rent into the evidence history that helps underwriters say yes to your first mortgage.

Our position

Two different questions.

A landlord asking "will this person pay rent?" does not need a credit score. That is what our guarantee is for. A bank asking "can this person carry a mortgage for 25 years?" legitimately does.

Landlords should never judge a tenant by their score. A bank can absolutely judge a borrower by theirs. These are not the same question, and we refuse to pretend they are.

RAD reporting isn't an endorsement of the old system. It arms you to navigate it: every on-time payment becomes evidence you manage a major housing expense reliably.

Questions, answered.

I'm a newcomer with no Canadian history. How fast does this work?

RAD reporting is built for exactly that. By reporting your largest recurring payment, rent, alongside verified income stability, we help build a thick credit file faster than a starter credit card alone.

Does my landlord need to be involved?

No. We verify rent through your secure bank link. Your landlord does not need to enroll or change how they receive payments.

Which credit bureaus do you report to?

Equifax Canada at launch, with additional bureau partners on our roadmap.

Will this help me get a mortgage?

RAD reporting builds the 12 to 24 months of rent and income history mortgage underwriters look for. It is not a guarantee of approval, but it directly addresses the thin-file barrier most newcomers face.

Why doesn't rent count automatically?

The Canadian credit system was built around revolving debt, not housing payments. Rent is off-book by default. RAD bridges that gap by verifying and reporting it.

What happens if I move?

Your Settle profile and credit history follow you. We re-verify the new lease through your bank link and keep reporting without interruption.
